About Me

Hi, I’m Tony McGuire – a journalist, reporter, videographer, editor and producer based in Glasgow, Scotland.

I produce all manner of multimedia journalism, from written opinions and analysis, to video packages, live TV broadcasts and much more.

As of January 2023, I’m the solitary Scotland Reporter for GB News and make regular appearances in front of of six-figure audiences to update them on the latest news from Scotland and show my country to be as amazing as I know it to be.

I have degrees in Zoology, Journalism and spent five years teaching a range of Post-Graduate digital journalism courses at Strathclyde University after I discovered video was my true calling.

My portfolio is the result of 15 years spent learning, experimenting, discovering, succeeding and failing. I’ve learned what works best for me as the reporter, the editor and the producer… and what’s best for my clients and employers.

I’ve learned to adapt to different environments, leading me to produce commercial, social, editorial and broadcasting. My pre-recorded shoots range from hard news, engaging debate and educational purposes. Being a creative editor and reporter, you never quite know how the next video will go.

I’ve shown up briefly for a quick interview to satisfy a tight deadline. I’ve overseen complete projects from planning through to publication over several months.

I’ve been a professional videographer in the Scottish press for 15 years across print, digital, video and broadcast.

And when you live and work in Scotland, widely regarded to have one of THE most beautiful landscapes in the world, each and every day on the road is a new adventure, a relaxing road trip en route to a final video watched by thousands.

What’s that old saying?

Here are some of the companies I’ve worked for during my time as a journalist over the last 15 years, taking in print, digital, video, commercial content and broadcast television.

And here are just some of the companies I’ve provided video services to while working as a video journalist.
