In the 17th Century, Bishop Robert Leighton left his treasured collection of 1,400 books to the township of Dunblane, along with 100 English pounds to build a library to store them.
Today, the Leighton Library houses 4,500 rare and exquisite books from the last 400 years and we had a rare opportunity to speak with the volunteers who run the small building hiding in plain sight at The Cross in Dunblane.
